Explosive power should be a priority for any fighters.
We may use some classic plyometric exercises, but most are not specific enough.
Medicine ball exercises are among the best ROI to become explosive, just use your total body, use max power in short sets, be sure to recover between set because this kind of training has to be alactic.
But to build real power my strategy is kettlebell training with ballistic movements: it is hardcore but we are looking for real results.
In my upcoming book, “Peak Conditioning and Power for Boxing” I will show everything.
Here is an excellent medicine ball exercise, power express from the legs and core, using a wall is a must !
